ARHS Digital is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with both broad and deep knowledge to join a new dynamic and autonomous team for a challenging project for one of its clients, a key player in the Belgian health insurance sector.

Context

Today we are running up against the limits of our current financial system (EBS). This compromises our continuity (core processes and interaction with our members) and prevents the implementation of new functionalities and audit recommendations.

The project will take the details of the transactions and customizations outside the financial system (development of a finance hub) and ensure that only centralization items remain in the financial system.

The platform for the Finance Hub is AWS, and the intention is to go serverless.

We are looking for someone who likes to code and wants to code, a software craftsman with architectural experience. You know how to identify and understand business requirements and translate that into pragmatic, maintainable applications.

You do whatever it takes to help us build the finance hub: whether that means coding backend logic, developing screens, monitoring quality or reducing costs.

Your profile

• Higher education degree or equivalent by experience.
• Solid experience in similar projects, where performance and large transaction volumes were key.
• Experience with financial processes.
• Sense of analysis and synthesis in combination with a high-quality and customer-oriented attitude.
• Independent worker, but also a team player.
• Fluent Dutch or French and knowledge of the other.
• Knowledge of English is necessary for smooth cooperation with partners.
• You speak both the language of business and the language of IT colleagues.

Technical skills

• Solid experience with Typescript, Python & AWS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Quality oriented (TDD) and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Experience with Agile Scrum would be considered an asset.
• Experience with Aurora and/or DynamoDB would be considered an asset.

Certifications

• Required (e.g. AWS Associate Developer)
