Job Description

ARHS Digital is looking for a SAP Functional Analyst SD, possessing high level expertise with integration projects for one of its clients, a key player in the financial sector.

The client’s IT modernisation project will significantly change the model of its financial reporting. Striving for continuous improvement and ensuring compliancy with the Financial Regulation and Accounting Rules, the client will revise its information systems, as detailed in a business case on the modernisation of the corporate finance system, to come to a new single finance platform based on S/4HANA.

Implementing this platform will help to make the client’s financial IT landscape future-ready, improve its user experience, increase its capacity to process data and strengthen control of available date, raise cost-effectiveness, support reliable, consistent and timely information, and allow for predictive analytics and flexible modifications – whilst driving system robustness and business continuity

Context

  • Work according to the SAP Activate methodology used for the project, including producing or maintain all relevant project documentation within required quality and format.
  • Actively participate to work sessions with the appropriate actors/team members.
  • Consult with and report to Project or Program Managers when/where appropriate
  • Provide support to the client when requested to elaborate on some specific or general subjects
  • Report on the progress of the different deliverables/tasks assigned.
  • Assist in the smooth running of the SAP Finance, Procurement and Billing environments.

Role & responsibilities

  • Analyse and follow-up the implementation of software solutions within the context of large scale, in large, enterprise-level multi-user information systems involving SOA (service-oriented architecture) systems;
  • Functional analysis within the field of finance and budgetary execution; analysing, testing, documenting and supporting information systems, in close co-operation with business owners and representatives, system architects, IT and support staff;
  • Contribute to project management: planning, to definition of work plans and deliverables, organisation of quality control, risk management, change management;
  • Model the business processes, business rules and design the data object models. Keep the data dictionary up to date;
  • Formalise the requirements and assure consolidation in the Business Object Models and Business Process Models, thus guaranteeing the documentation remains up-to-date. Ensure that artefacts and deliverables are conform to defined guidelines and applicable procedures, and are in line with the overall Information System architecture;
  • Liaise with business owners, business management including senior management and experts in budgetary management and accounting;
  • Liaise with the technical design teams to ensure that the information systems implement the best solution for the business owners;
  • Perform functional testing and/or liaise with the test team to help ensuring that business and functional requirements enter into the test stream correctly;
  • Promote model-driven development;
  • Draft summaries, statistics, reports and briefing notes, and contribute to strategic documents;
  • Provide information and training sessions to users, support teams and management.

Qualifications

Your profile

  • Master’s degree or equivalent by experience
  • Good knowledge of written/spoken English
  • Good ability to bridge between the technical and the business experts worlds.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written presentations and reports)

Technical skills

  • In-depth knowledge of one or more of the following SAP modules: SD, MM, FI, CO, FM, AA (Asset Accounting), PM (Plant Maintenance), PS and ECCS.
  • In-depth knowledge of "SAP Cash management", BPC tool and Disclosure management.
  • Knowledge of development methodologies relevant to the nature of the tasks (e.g. SAP Activate, RUP, Agile).
  • Knowledge of modelling languages/notations for modelling processes, rules and data (e.g. UML, BPMN).
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of IT development (e.g. Object-Oriented programming).
  • Good knowledge of financial and bookkeeping principles.
  • Knowledge of IT tools used in the office environment: Advanced level in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
