Job Description

We are currently looking for a   Business Requirements Analyst  to join our growing team in one of the biggest European organizations.

Tasks:

  • Rapidly attaining a deep and broad understanding of the mission, direction, structure, mandates and requirements of relevant business areas and the client's, building trust and managing relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Expert analysis, modelling and documentation of the client's business processes and business requirements, adhering to analysis methodology agreed with the client, considering implementation constraints where required and, where not, avoiding unnecessary assumptions regarding implementation
  • Analysis and documentation of conceptual data models, logical data models, and data dictionaries.
  • Business process optimization and transformation spanning different the client's departments and business domains.
  • Provision of support and advice regarding functional requirements to members of own team and other teams (including Business stakeholders, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Designers, Developers, and Testers).
  • Contributing to preparation of Test Plans and Functional Test Cases.
  • Review of Design for consistency with functional requirements.
  • Maintenance of analysis deliverables during design, development, and test.
  • Analysis, documentation, recommendation/negotiation of solution options and prioritization of application defects and functional enhancements to existing application.
  • Assists to achieve project deadlines and schedules through active management of scope, business expectations priorities.
  • Reporting progress and status to Project Managers.
  • Preparing documentation for technical and non-technical audiences, for deployment on intranet / extranet / internet sites and on-line help.
  • Adhering to a recognized Application Development methodology.

Qualifications

Mandatory requirements:

  • Bachelor's plus minimum of a minimum of 7 of broad-based experience in application analysis focusing upon IT application, with significant experience in the relevant functional area(s).
  • Expert knowledge of data analysis and conceptual / logical data modelling.
  • Expert knowledge of a recognized Application Development Life Cycle such including traditional, iterative, and rapid and agile development methodologies.
  • Good understanding of internet and client/server architectures.
  • Possesses working knowledge of HTML, SQL, and database design.
  • Ability to follow set standards, processes and methods.
  • Ability to read and understand functional requirements, business process models and technical specifications.
  • Fluency, in English, to at least B2 level according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
  • Must be project-oriented, customer-focused, and responsive, with a professional manner.
  • Experience with agile methodologies like SCRUM
  • Good understanding of value stream analysis/mapping (e.g. in SAFe)
  • Must have strong analysis & investigation skills.
  • Must be a self-starter who can own and drive the collection of complete, correct, deliverable functional requirements and business processes, rather than just ask questions.
  • Must be a team player, experienced in working with others to achieve an objective.
  • Must be able to lead a team of Business Analysts, when required, showing ownership and responsibility for the team’s deliverables.
  • Ability to create, tailor and adhere to methodology standards.
  • Capable of acting as the face of IT, developing relationships, and fostering trust with business users.

Additional Job-related Skills:

  • Experience in supporting user acceptance testing and/or leading user acceptance testing exercises.
  • Experience in business process management
  • Experience working in diverse, multicultural organizations.
  • Experience in interacting with Business Owners and Product Owners.
  • Experience in performing user acceptance testing and/or leading user acceptance testing exercises.
