Job Description

We are currently looking for a DevOps Automation Engineer to join our growing team in one of the biggest European organizations.

Tasks:

  • Maintain and improve our Docker/Kubernetes infrastructure, both in the cloud (e.g. Azure) and on-premises (Rancher)
  • Plan, test and develop infrastructure and application automation
  • Implement automated deployment and configuration
  • Support day-to-day activities of deploying servers and applications
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Establish and maintain procedures to the deployment of information systems
  • Monitor and maintain the supporting configuration management infrastructure
  • Technical review, assurance and design for deployment
  • Improve the existing Puppet infrastructure (secrets management, split of code repository, hub-and-spoke architecture, etc.)
  • Design, implement and maintain the build/release infrastructure
  • Develop and improve deployments with Terraform, Ansible, Powershell, Python, etc.

Qualifications

Who you are:

Mandatory:

  • More than 9 years of experience in ICT (e.g. as developer, system administrator, software engineer, infrastructure engineer, DevOps engineer, etc.) 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in an international/multi-cultural environment 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with systems and IT operations 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux/Unix Administration, preferably Red Hat 7+
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with Kubernetes
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with an agile methodology
  • Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes. Deployment, configuration, management and troubleshooting of Kubernetes clusters. (like rke, rancher, k3d or k3s)
  • Excellent knowledge of application containerization, packaging and deployment on Kubernetes clusters (helm charts, operators, pipelines).
  • Good knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices (continuous delivery, continuous integration, continuous deployment, use of automation to improve efficiency, feedback loops, fail fast, etc.) 

Desirable:  

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with Terraform or Ansible
  • Good knowledge of cloud computing
  • Certification: CKA, CKAD.
  • Kubernetes (e.g. Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, etc.)
  • Certification: RHCSA/RHCE
