ARHS Spikeseed is looking for a Medior Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer to support the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions composed of tailor-made and/or off-the-shelf building blocks and operate these solutions in different execution environments for one of its clients, a key player in the Belgian energy landscape.

You will work closely with Cloud Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Engineers and IT Architects of different projects / products. Activities will be split between the support to the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions and the operationalization and the lifecycle management of these solutions in different execution environments, mainly on Microsoft Azure. Especially, the Cloud DevOps Engineer is expected to industrialize the on-demand commissioning and decommissioning of different versions of cloud-based solutions for lifecycle efficiency, cost savings, business continuity and DRP compliancy.

Responsibilities (non-exhaustive)

• Developing and maintaining CI/CD processes of cloud-based solutions
• Configuring, managing, and maintaining tools to automate operational processes.
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Maintaining existing tools for monitoring, notifications, trending, and analysis.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in development, test, and production instances.
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Building, maintaining, and monitoring configuration standards.
• Handling code deployments in all environments.
• Providing technical guidance and educating team members and co-workers on development and operations.
• Documenting and designing various processes, updating existing processes, and innovating for better process improvements.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
• Proven experience in DevOps engineering and agile software development.
• Experience with tools like Azure DevOps, Git, ArgoCD, and SonarQube.
• Experience with infrastructure technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm
• Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures.
• Hands-on experience with platforms including SQL Server, MongoDB, Kong, and Databricks.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud provider and services.
• Able to code and script in various languages (Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, shell)
• Understanding of system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and experience with security testing tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Fluent in English, additional language skills in German, Dutch or French would be considered an asset.
