If you love getting out and about, meeting stakeholders, and representing a purpose‑led organisation, this role gives you the chance to make a genuine impact every day.

About the Role

As an Engagement Consultant, you’ll be the face of APM within the community—promoting our services, building trust, and creating pathways for people living with disability, injury, illness, or a medical condition to access sustainable employment.

You will:

  • Engage with community programs, events, and organisations to broaden APM’s presence

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of employer and stakeholder partnerships

  • Connect participants with meaningful job opportunities and professional development pathways

  • Collaborate with NDIS providers, medical professionals, support agencies, and specialist equipment suppliers

  • Represent APM with empathy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to enabling better lives

This role is ideal for someone who is energised by people, purpose, and community impact.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • A warm, approachable, and compassionate communication style

  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across diverse stakeholder groups

  • Demonstrated personal integrity and respect for confidential information

  • Strong planning skills and experience working collaboratively toward shared outcomes

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills — self‑organised, methodical, and able to prioritise effectively

  • High levels of initiative and the ability to work independently

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment

  • Knowledge of local community networks and opportunities for social and economic participation

  • Experience supporting people with disability, or relevant lived experience

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office 365 and digital systems

  • A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)

Why You’ll Love Working With APM

This role offers variety, purpose, and the opportunity to support people in building long‑term independence.

You’ll enjoy:

  • Competitive salary with performance incentives

  • Continuous training and genuine career development pathways

  • A supportive, inclusive team culture

  • Recognition for your achievements, including team events and milestone celebrations

  • Employee wellbeing support through our EAP

  • Purchased Annual Leave options

  • Paid Parental Leave

  • Funded Certificate IV in Community Services or Mental Health Peer Support (eligibility applies)

  • Service recognition programs

  • Access to the APM Family Hub

  • Salary packaging options, including vehicle leasing through Maxxia

You will also need:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia

  • A current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle

  • A MyGovID (Standard level)

  • Willingness to complete a National Police Check

  • Availability to work full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
