Are you a fan of or have read Politico, The Economist, The Hill, Fast Company, and Vanity Fair? Well, take the present-day concepts for those magazines and put the focus on educated millennials in their late 20s to early 30s.
Modern Treatise is the cultural fiber that connects people to the creators, tastemakers and achievers across multiple arenas, as well as sparking conversation around the cultural themes that impact the world around you.
Through well-researched exposition and informed perspective, Modern Treatise is the premiere destination for our affluent and aspirational discerning readers.
The Society Writer Intern will cover all social and cultural related content that identifies with and topically relates to Modern Treatise’s vision/targeted demographic.
- Write a biweekly column covering serious social topics.
- Write a biweekly column focused on arts, entertainment, media and other pop cultural subjectmatters.
Duration: 6 months
This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.
Official Start Date: ASAP
The candidate should be adept at understanding the multiple perspectives that may come with any societal topic without bias—focused on the facts versus unsubstantiated opinions.
The candidate should have an interest in covering a diverse array of pop-cultural subject matters.
The candidate should have an interest in writing about the cultural relevance of art, entertainment, media, and style.
Note: This internship is not a place for one to test out or present their personal ideological ideas and concepts. So, any candidate must be able to fully explore and present various viewpoints on a whole host of cultural topics.
