Amrapur Overseas is a family owned Home Textiles Company based in California with showrooms and offices in CA and NY in the USA.  Our offices and merchandising teams overseas allow us to be on the forefront of Home Textiles.  We work with all retail partners offering products including; bedding, bath, window and pet for all tiers of business.

Looking for a design assistant in our Manhattan office to work with the VP Design and PD to create new patterns, work on packaging design, photoshop images for online retailers and to participate in the overall development of design department. We are growing at a tremendous rate, and looking for a person to join the team that will bring an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to participate in all aspects of design and presentation.

 The following are the responsibilities the job entails

• photoshop images - changing size, colors, enhancing images for online retailers and inserts
• ability to create patterns; pattern repeats and manipulate existing art to create new designs
• create sell sheets for sales department and sales tools to best show designs
• knowledge of and experience in Home Textiles a plus
• product specifications/ tech packs - work with lead designer to create specs for production ready art for samples and stock production
• file organization; keeping track of approvals and filing
• mock up inserts and packaging
• update and edit inserts accordingly; create new packaging where needed

• AI and PS intermediate to expert a must
• Home textiles experience a huge plus
• powerpoint/ keynote presentation knowledge
• understanding of trends and fashion
• team player - willingness to help with all projects, self motivator, good eye for color
