The Payroll Supervisor oversees and directs payroll procedures as part of the HR team aiming for the company to always abide by all legislation requirements and the employees to always have the best possible service.
Job Description
- Ensuring that payroll is completed accurately, on-time, and compliantly. Reviewing payroll processing system; validating payroll workflow
- Overseeing and directing payroll procedures; Identifying process improvement areas and managing implementation of solutions
- Ensuring compliance with public authorities, payroll tax obligations, labor law requirements and internal policies at all times
- Implementing payroll projects, acting as project manager and supporting cross-functional projects with payroll dependency
- Updating and maintaining payroll process and administration documentation
- Interpreting and communicating payroll topics for managers and employees; providing training on key payroll topics
- Providing coaching and mentorship to payroll resources on processing activities and navigating complex topics
- Reporting on payroll-related expenditures, accruals, benefit costs, budgeting etc.
- Running cost estimation exercises and/or analytics reports relating to people operations
- Advising the management team and/or employees regarding changes to labor issues
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of prior experience in payroll processing / payroll operations is required preferable in the retail sector
- Excellent knowledge of payroll systems (preferable Pylon- EpsilonNet)
- University degree (AEI/TEI) in economics or relevant field
- Good knowledge of Greek legislation regarding insurance, labor and social security matters
- Excellent command of the English language – both written and verbal
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent analytical & communications skills (with employees, managers, public authorities)
- Strong problem-solving skills and eye for detail
- Excellent proven organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Ability to work well in a team environment and present a professional demeanor
