Job Description

Electronic Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting the development and integration of advanced aerospace and aviation systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex engineering programmes, working across the full product lifecycle from concept and design through to verification, testing, and qualification activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the integration of electrical equipment, sensors, and avionics systems while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust and reliable technical solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of electrical equipment, sensors, and avionics systems into complex platforms. 
  • Produce and maintain electrical schematics, design documentation, and technical specifications.
  • Perform EMC/EMI-conscious design and support verification activities to ensure system compliance. 
  • Investigate and resolve system-level technical issues through structured root cause analysis. 
  • Collaborate with mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and test engineers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support verification, testing, and qualification activities to ensure programme requirements are achieved.
  • Contribute to technical reviews and provide engineering input to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Electronic Engineer within a regulated engineering environment.
  • Approximately 5-9 years of relevant industry experience. 
  • Experience integrating electrical systems, sensors, and avionics equipment. 
  • Understanding of EMC/EMI design principles and verification processes. 
  • Experience producing electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause investigation capabilities. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field, or relevant technical military background with equivalent hands-on experience.
