- work as part of a motivated engineering team on the development and optimization of gas engines, improving both steady-state and transient performance through simulation and testing
- contribute to gas engine development projects with a focus on performance parameters such as power, efficiency, emissions, and transient behavior, as well as operating strategies
- plan, organize, and execute in-house engine testing on single- and multi-cylinder engines, with emphasis on mixture preparation, gas exchange, ignition and combustion, and turbocharging
- analyze simulation and measurement results, draw technical conclusions, and prepare clear reports and documentation
- validate engine and component performance, including testing at research institutes and customer sites
- collaborate closely with controls, design, mechanical engineering, emissions aftertreatment, test bench teams, service, manufacturing, order engineering, and external suppliers
- work effectively in cross-functional and international project teams
Qualifications
YOU...
- hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field
- have initial hands-on experience in internal combustion engine development
- bring a strong interest in engine performance, combustion processes, and system optimization
- possess good interpersonal skills and are comfortable working in a global matrix organization
- demonstrate strong analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented approach
- have good written and verbal communication skills in English
Salary starting at € 3.800 gross per month based on 38.5 h/week with the express willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience.
