Job Description

What will you be doing? 

The Role

ALTEN is seeking a Supply Chain Quality Engineer to oversee supplier quality performance and ensure robust delivery to production schedules. You will act as the primary interface between the client and suppliers, driving improvement activities and maintaining the highest quality standards throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate supplier quality management to ensure consistent delivery and build support.
  • Identify and report quality issues, manage non-conformities, and ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Conduct and support supplier performance reviews, monitoring progress on recovery plans.
  • Carry out on-site quality inspections and audits at supplier facilities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or Supply Chain-related discipline.
  • Strong background in supply chain leadership and quality management.
  • Demonstrated experience in non-conformance management and recovery plan execution.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience in the Aerospace or Automotive industries, ideally with a Tier 1 supplier.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is desirable.
  • Around 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
