Description du poste
ALTEN is seeking an experienced Project Lead to manage a large team within a complex, high-tech manufacturing environment. This is a leadership role that requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead operational staff (non-engineers) effectively toward production and quality goals.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability industries, and is comfortable overseeing day-to-day activities in a structured and regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of approximately 30 people, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and adherence to operational protocols
- Act as the primary point of contact between engineering teams and shop floor personnel
- Drive performance and accountability across the team by setting clear goals and providing consistent guidance
- Coordinate workflows, manage schedules, and resolve day-to-day challenges on the production floor
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and procedural standards in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Report regularly on project and team progress to ALTEN management and relevant project teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership, coordination, or operational management role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to lead and motivate large teams
- Fluent in Dutch preferred; strong English speakers will also be considered
- Experience in high-tech, aerospace, or defense manufacturing environments is a significant advantage
- Able to work hands-on and lead in a structured, process-driven setting
- Organized, pragmatic, and comfortable managing both people and process
