Job Description

What will you be doing? 

As a Structural Integrity Engineer , you will work remotely team to support our activities within the Nuclear sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Development of Structural Integrity Requirements: Assist in creating structural integrity requirements and detailed guidance documents, focusing on NDE or materials-related topics.
  • Governance and Implementation: Ensure the structural integrity requirements are effectively implemented and maintained across the design teams.
  • NDE Specification Development: Develop outline NDE specifications and procedures for forging, based on a review of ASME, ASTM, and ISO standards.
  • Material Specification Development: Create detailed material specification requirements for suppliers, reviewing internal material standards and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Who are we looking for? 

  • Background in Design, Materials, or NDE: Strong technical expertise in one or more of these areas and an understanding of how they relate to structural integrity within a nuclear safety context.
  • Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with key industry standards such as ASME, ASTM, and ISO.
  • Experience in Nuclear Industry (preferred): Prior experience in the nuclear sector or other safety-critical industries is an advantage.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess complex technical issues and provide practical, compliant solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, particularly in creating detailed technical documents.
