Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a Safety Coordinator has become available within our Safety department of ALDI stores, based in Regency Park. This is a full-time 18-month fixed-term opportunity.

The Safety Team are responsible for monitoring and managing workplace injury cases to promote a safe and healthy work environment. They collaborate with employees and healthcare providers to facilitate effective injury management, treatment and return-to-work plans. You will operate with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy, managing multiple stakeholders, and working in a fast-paced environment.

What does the role look like? 

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of work-related and non-work-related injuries in accordance with relevant legislation, ALDI policies and best practice to minimise premium impact and business risk which includes the use of WHS IT systems.
  • Coordinate and provide guidance on Injury Management activities.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders e.g.: injured workers, treating practitioners, insurer, and regulator where applicable.
  • Actively manage your area of responsibility by using initiative, suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency.
  • Provide implementation support for projects and managing ongoing business as usual (BAU).
  • Ensure ALDI is compliant with all current legislative obligations and engaging in best practice injury management.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in injury management managing multiple files.
  • Knowledge of Injury Management practices, and rehabilitation and recovery best practice and legislation.
  • Sound knowledge of SA Worker Compensation Legislation is highly regarded.
  • Experience with reporting and Injury Management Claims Systems. Previous experience with SolvInjury is highly regarded.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and intermediate-advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Allied health or medical professional qualifications highly regarded.

Remuneration

  • Transparent tiered salary range of $118,200 - $140,900 including Superannuation.
