Job Description

AHRC NYC is looking to hire a Part-Time Occupational Therapist for their MANHATTAN  and BRONX programs. This position has a pay rate of between $35-$70 per hour

Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical, mental, and emotional well-being to determine their occupational therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' goals and needs
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities
- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to enhance independence
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in occupational therapy techniques

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with diverse patient populations
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Experience in case management is a plus
