As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you will work with the Director of Development in Toronto to build the
backend platform for our mobile and web apps. You will have the opportunity to join early a startup,
help us build our development team and have the potential to lead and mentor a team of developers.

What you get to do every day:
 Perform code analysis, perform unit testing, refactor/optimize code, review code, integrate code
changes and conduct peer-to- peer code reviews
 Work closely with the Product Manager to design and implement new features
 Release weekly builds
 Participate in software design, architecture and documentation
 Analyze and identify system issues and recommend system enhancements or fixes
 Conduct research and design proof of concepts
Requirements:
 5+ years of Ruby on Rails development
 Strong background in mobile backend architecture
 Deep understanding of REST services, JSON objects and secure coding concepts
 Experience with AWS services and Docker containers
 Experience managing high throughput and calls per second
 Proven track record of delivering well-designed, secured and tested software
 Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
 You are a swiss army knife. We're building our development team so if you can work on our
backend and develop our iOS and Android apps, kudos!

Nice to have:
 Experience integrating with Twilio and Stripe
 Experience with iOS and/or Android
 Understanding of video calling and mobile payments

 5+ years of Ruby on Rails development
 Strong background in mobile backend architecture
 Deep understanding of REST services, JSON objects and secure coding concepts
 Experience with AWS services and Docker containers
