About the team in Sweden

Within AFRY Rail we have about 150 employees divided into 6 geographical sections in Sweden.

Our team (section) is located in Stockholm, Solna. The team consists of colleagues who work with all different areas within railway design.

You will report to the section manager.

 

Job Description

Your key responsibilities

We cover all necessary approvals and expertise for the Catenary system

  • Design of Catenary
  • Catenary Engineering
  • CAD Drawings

 

We work with feasibility studies, investigations, detailed design and engineering as well as supervision. Furthermore, AFRY supports our clients with tender documents and tendering services for railway projects.

Your role, your entry point at AFRY

As an Engineer, Catenary Rail, at AFRY, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects in that will make a real impact. Through the Design Center you will collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals in Sweden, use cutting-edge technology, and play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions for our clients.

Qualifications

We expect that you have

  • A Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College or achieved an equivalent level through previous tasks/employment
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience of Catenary design
  • Good written and verbal English language (CEFR minimum level B1)
  • Working knowledge of Bentley Open Rail, Bentley Microstation or Civil 3D
  • A good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office

We appreciate if you have

  • Experience of working abroad, especially projects in the Nordics and Sweden
  • Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise Explorer
  • Knowledge of railway contracts/production
  • Knowledge of Swedish regulations and catenary systems
