Within our Water Division, more than 80 professionals at five locations support our clients in all aspects of water supply, wastewater treatment, waterways, stormwater management and flood protection. We provide comprehensive services throughout the entire project lifecycle – from the initial concept through to commissioning and operation.

We are looking for Process & Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our Hydraulic Engineering Team in Erfurt.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Working on all project phases related to technical equipment systems, from concept development and detailed design through to commissioning.
  • Planning and specifying mechanical, process engineering and electrical components, including pumps, blowers, compressors, heat exchangers, gas utilisation and sewage gas installations, valves, as well as instrumentation, control and automation systems.
  • Coordinating with clients, technical experts, specialist engineering consultancies and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborating closely with engineers, designers and project managers while supporting resource planning activities.
  • Supporting business development activities, proposal preparation and the development of technical concepts.

Qualifications

We expect that you have:

  • A degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a comparable technical discipline. 
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the design, specification and execution of technical equipment projects, such as pumps, machinery, instrumentation and control systems, or process plants.
  • Solid knowledge of technical standards, guidelines and regulations related to technical equipment systems (e.g. DIN, DWA, VDI, VOB).
  • Good understanding of process-oriented plant operations, fluid mechanics, energy efficiency and operational safety.
  • Good written and spoken English (minimum CEFR B2 level).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach and a high level of personal responsibility.

We appreciate if you have:

  • Experience working in accordance with HOAI project phases.
  • Experience with industrial or complex building services projects.
  • Very good German language skills (approximately C1 level), both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of MagiCAD.
  • Experience with tendering processes, construction supervision, or commissioning activities.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary and international project environments.
