To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager – Thermal Power & Renewable Energy to join our Energy Business in Bangkok, Thailand. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned engineering professional to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and deliver complex power generation projects across Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will play a key role in engineering management, design coordination, EPCM execution, technical advisory assignments, and project delivery from concept development through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Job Description
Your scope of work will include the following for various biomass, waste-to-energy, CCGT, solar PV and other type of power plant projects:
- Participate as Engineering manager in overall engineering management of engineering, detail design, design review and EPCM projects including detail design and procurement activities to ensure that project is executed within schedule, budget and to the required quality standards
- Report to Project Manager, and Owner all relevant projects issues
- Manage as PM smaller power plant engineering projects
- Supervising and managing engineering project teams and other project support staff.
- Manage preparation of conceptual designs and specifications for power plant projects.
- Project resource planning, organising regular meetings, working with contractors and clients.
- Manages internal project cost and manhours by regularly reviewing teams performance
- Possibility to expand the role to manage owner’s engineering or power plant development projects for thermal power, biomass and renewable energy.
Qualifications
- Higher professional degree in engineering field relevant for the job (B.Sc. or higher)
- Industry background and more than 10 years’ work experience from power utilities, engineering companies, or power sector consulting companies
- Experience in CCGT projects, in particular Integration Engineering and BOP Engineering Management
- Familiar with engineering international design Codes and Standards.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
- Experience in client interaction
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well with people from a range of cultures
