Your focus will be on PV system design, including DC/AC configurations, inverter selection, energy yield analysis, and grid interconnection coordination.

You will work closely with HV, LV, civil, and project teams to deliver technically sound and constructible solar PV designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize solar PV systems, including module layout, string configuration, inverter sizing, and DC/AC ratio.
  • Perform PV system calculations such as energy yield, system losses, voltage drop, and performance analysis.
  • Prepare and review PV system design drawings, including: PV layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Stringing diagrams, Cable schedules and equipment layouts
  • Select and specify PV components such as modules, inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, and monitoring systems.
  • Use PV design and simulation tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate with HV and LV engineers on grid connection, substations, transformers, and interface requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local standards (PEC, PGC, IEC, IEEE, NEC, utility grid codes).
  • Support procurement by preparing technical specifications and reviewing vendor documentation.
  • Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning, including responses to RFIs and design clarifications.
  • Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and client discussions.
