In total, we have multinational staff of more than 500 working in Transmission & Distribution (T&D) field around the world.

In line with our increasing business, we are looking for qualified and experienced candidates for Transmission Line Design Engineer (PLS Tower) to join our South-East Asian T&D team and be based in our Philippines office in Manila.

Our T&D team assists clients in achieving compliance and efficiency by conducting studies to navigate the design, grid connection and access standards for their energy generation projects. You will become part of a global, tight-knit team of engineers engaged in diverse projects supporting multiple type of international interconnection and grid connection projects (solar, wind, hydro, etc.). Our team also provides technical assistance to Transmission Grid Operators and helps the private sector secure crucial grid investments through expert technical support. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your career and play a pivotal role in expanding and shaping the business in South-East Asia for a multinational company while supporting clients across Asia, but also other regions such as Europe and Africa.

Responsibility:

• Independent technical assignments for Transmission line projects (planning, basic design, detail design, design review, calculations, specifications, reports, etc.)
• Perform technical analysis/design using PLS Tower software
• Support the Business Development activities in the Philippines by supporting proposals preparation, Clients’ meetings, ..
• Prepare comprehensive study reports.
• Deliver high-quality outputs within agreed parameters, formats, and timelines, and review the work of other employees when necessary.
• Conduct complex assessments, provide specialist advice/solutions and training, conduct technical presentations to internal and external clients.
• Engage in technical developmental activities, including attending conferences and participating in industry presentations.

• Bachelor/Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Having minimum 2 years of relevant working experience with PLS Tower
• In-depth understanding of Transmission Tower design and structural engineering principles.
• Proficiency in preparing loading diagrams and performing load analysis.
• Ability to trouble shoot and resolve design issues arise during modeling and analysis process.
• Knowledge of foundation types (eg., piles, pad and chimney,etc.) and their appropriate application in transmission tower design.
• Familiar with international codes and standards relevant to detailed electrical design for transmission and distribution assets such as IEC, ASCE, IEEE/ANSI, NESC standards.
• Familiar with local regulations and standards applicable to the Philippines
• Experience working within a national T&D company, and/or supporting similar projects within technical consultancy companies or experience working for a T&D Utility.
• Being a registered and certified engineer in the Philippines is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Having ability to manage works under time and resources constraints to finish works in time with good quality and having ability to work under pressure
• Having good logic of thinking, problem solving and willingness working in team.
• Good level in English communication is mandatory.
• Ability to travel outside the Philippines
