Job Description
We are looking for Analysts with 0-2 years of professional experience who are enthusiastic and passionate about the energy transition. As a new colleague you will join our dynamic team of energy market consultants in our recently established Dutch office in Rotterdam (central). Within your induction phase you will also get the chance to visit our UK offices to meet the colleagues, who support the Dutch energy market.
Your responsibilities:
In your daily tasks as an Analyst, you will:
· Undertake complex analysis and solve problems with high level competency and accuracy, looking for insights, so what´s, key messages and conclusions.
· Work effectively with diverse teams to come up with the best solution and move people and organizations to act.
· Actively interface with clients and ensure that you and your project team understand the client needs and deliver according to deadline(s), quality standards and client expectations.
· Communicate complex messages, structure your presentations and communication material in a way that maximises the impact of information and ideas towards our clients.
· Contribute ideas and develop your innovative thinking applying to business development and project delivery.
Qualifications
· We expect you to have completed an advanced graduate degree (MSc, MBA, PhD) in (Business) Economics, Econometrics, Engineering or Mathematics - smart people from other degree programs are highly welcome as well.
· This position is open to graduates and experienced professionals with max. 2 years of working experience, preferably in market analysis & modelling, energy consulting, transactions advisory (due diligences) or the energy industry.
· We undertake a lot of complex analysis, a good proportion of which is numerical, that is why we expect you to have an aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis and the ability to pay attention to detail and preferably use MS Excel proficiently. Proficiency in R/Python/SQL is advantageous.
· You have a very good command of English and preferably Dutch as well, other languages are advantageous.
· You love to work collaboratively in a smaller and growing team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of our organization. A pro-active attitude to supporting a social environment (e.g. social drinks, informal events etc.) in which the team will thrive, is valued.
· You are willing to work at our growing office in Rotterdam at least 2 to 3 days/week.
· You will be working in a commercial environment against budgets and deadlines so you will need to be able to think for yourself, be pro-active and have a commercially oriented mindset.
· You are eligible to work in the Netherlands.
