Job Description
Prepare/assist in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals and develop study programs, specifications, budget and schedules for projects of varying complexities of hydro power project and pumped storage projects.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Water Resource Engineering/Hydraulics/Hydrology with 5-10 Years
Knowledge:
i. One dimensional water profile estimation and preparation of rating curve of river/open channel
ii. Steady and unsteady flow analysis of open channel (free flow)
iii. Steady and unsteady flow analysis of pipe flow (pressure flow)
iv. head-loss calculation in pipe flow (pressure flow)
v. Mass oscillation and water hammer in pressurised water system
vi. Hydraulics of Spillways – Ogee type, Sluice type, broad crested weir etc.
vii. Hydraulics of energy dissipation systems like trajectory bucket, roller bucket & stilling basin etc.
viii. Hydraulic model study
Software Proficiency
i. HEC-RAS software
ii. Hammer (Bentley), WHAMO
iii. MS Excel – Candidate should have ability to develop automated hydraulic computations using MACROS / VBE subroutines
Additional Information
We appreciate if you have
- Experience of working with Nordic projects.
- Swedish project experience and knowledge of Swedish design standards is advantageous.
- Knowledge of EPANET, DHI Mike+ or similar software for hydraulic modelling.
- Knowledge of ArcGIS and similar GIS software.
- Experience of Autodesk Navisworks.
- Bentley ProjectWise.
- High degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others.
- Careful and responsible. Understand the concept of working in a team.
