About the role

Sustainability Consulting is further strengthening its position in the European/global market. As such, we are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Sustainability team in Berlin, to work globally in an international team and in the German market.

In this position, you will have a unique opportunity to make your contribution to the sustainability transformation within companies, and diving deep into topics that are changing the corporate sustainability landscape and business strategy. (e.g. Circular Economy, LCA, sustainability strategy and reporting, Net Zero strategy and implementation, corporate biodiversity).

Your responsibilities

• Take the lead for modules in projects, and complete project management of smaller projects (typically leading two to four analysts/consultants), with a specific focus on circularity.
• Have direct client contact and lead presentations during client meetings.
• Work closely with consultants from other (international) offices as well as industry experts at AFRY.
• Actively support sales activities
• Contribute to AFRY’s circularity portfolio and service offering development

Your profile

• Implementation-driven person with a university background in the field of business, engineering or sustainability management
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainability consulting or sustainability management in a company
• Proven track-record in circularity consulting, and/or in a strategic/operational role in a company, e.g. linked to waste management
• Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment methods is an advantage
• Business minded and analytical mindset combined with structured way of working
• Ability to work collaboratively in an international and multidisciplinary team
• Very good oral, written and presentation skills and an excellent command of English language.
