Role & Responsibilities

The Designer reports to the applicable Engineer.

1. To provide electrical engineering drawings pertaining to substation projects.
2. To liaise with Discipline Engineers regarding technical inputs/outputs.
3. To produce presentable and technically correct drawings and to meet defined   schedules.
4. To apply professional level skills in the preparation, review and checking of discipline drawings and Vendor drawings.
5. To ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner and to contribute to a safe work environment plus if/when acting in a supervisory role assumes responsibility for ensuring a safe workplace and encouraging safe work practices from supervised staff.
6. To provide and promote effective communications between colleagues and senior staff.

Desired Profile

1. Must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in substation projects
2. Should have experience of working within an ISO / QA environment.
3. Must be proficient with AutoCAD latest versions.
4. Must be competent in written and spoken English.
5. Must have capable communications skills.
6. Must be capable of managing personal time allocation for preparation/revision to drawings.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience.
