On behalf of our customer in Trollhättan and their department Rotors & Nozzels we are looking for a Design Teamlead (Design integration) that is ready to lead the design & development of turbines and nozzles for space rocket engines.

As a design engineer you will have the overall responsibility to make sure that your design team delivers according to plan. You will lead a cross functional design team and will communicate both with internal departments and external customer and suppliers to achieve delivery. 

You will be responsible to:

• Plan, drive and manage the design team to deliver the right quality on time
• Define required resources
• Break down the requirements to reach a balanced product regarding product cost, technical requirements and producibility
• Plan and document verification and certification of the product
• Plan and perform technical reviews
• Drive design changes

Furthermore, you are expected to take an active role in continuously improving the department. You have a positive mindset and act as a role model for your colleagues. Setting targets for the team and provide feedback is also part of your assignment.

In order to succeed in this role, you have either a bachelor's or a master's degree in a relevant field of engineering. You have both knowledge and interest in space rocket engines and wish to take a leading role in the design activities for the products.

Your communication skills are excellent, you prefer working in a team, while having a large individual responsibility, and can network with both internal and external partner. You both speak and write Swedish and English fluently.

Recorded experience from leading teams is consider meritorious. 

Experience and product knowledge from turbines/turbomachinery, alternatively space nozzles is beneficial.
