Our customer in Trollhättan is looking for a design engineer with knowledge and experience within the area of design & definition.

As a design engineer you will participate in all phases of product development where your job will be to create design solutions according to company standards, Operational Management System (OMS), and technical product requirements.

Your tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Creating and updating design data (product drawings, CAD models and geometrical interfaces) in Siemens PLM (Teamcenter) and software NX
• Using Siemens PLM software Teamcenter; store, maintain and release design data
• Perform design studies and changes
• Create geometrical interface documentation
• Create and makings sure the Requirements justification is updated
• Perform tolerance stack-up's

We are looking for someone that has a passion towards design engineering. You can be quite newly graduated or be someone with several years of experience, the most important thing is that you are enthusiastic about the job!

As a design engineer you have excellent skills in CAD and good knowledge in robust engineering. That includes the ability to balance the design between cost, quality and performance all the while taking constraints from production and other disciplines into consideration.

Based on result you are expected to draw conclusions and present these to a variety of audiences in a clear way.

We are looking for someone with:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience as a design engineer
• Knowledge and experience from CAD/PLM tools (Siemens TeamCenter and NX)
• Knowledge and experience of GD&T (ASME y14.5 and ISO)
• Fluent Swedish and English (both oral and written)
• Good ability to work in teams, collaborate with others and create networks
• Experience of product support work and product development is considered meritorious
• Experience from manufacturing is meritorious
• Knowledge and experience from geometry assurance is also an advantage
