Job Description
At AFCA, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Behind every great employee experience is access to the right information, at the right time, in the right place.
We're looking for an Internal Digital and Communications Advisor to join our Communications & Brand team on a 10–12 month contract.
This role sits at the intersection of internal communications, digital content and employee experience. You'll help shape how more than 1,500 employees receive information, stay informed and access trusted knowledge through our intranet, Knowledge Centre and other employee-facing channels.
We're looking for someone who enjoys turning complex information into clear, engaging content and understands how digital channels can help people find what they need quickly and easily. SharePoint is an important part of the role, but first and foremost we're seeking a strong communicator and content creator who can confidently work across digital platforms.
This is initially a 10 (possibly 12) month contract.
What you'll be doing
- Write, edit and publish internal communications, news, updates and employee content across AFCA's digital channels.
- Support the delivery of organisation-wide communication initiatives and priority business campaigns.
- Create and maintain content across AFCA's intranet, Knowledge Centre and employee-facing digital platforms.
- Partner with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to turn complex information into clear, practical and accessible content.
- Help improve how employees find, access and use information through digital channels.
- Build and maintain SharePoint pages and content that are easy to navigate, user-focused and visually engaging.
- Support content owners and publishers with guidance, coaching and publishing support.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of content quality, governance and employee digital experiences.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who combines excellent communication and writing skills with digital publishing experience.
You'll have:
- Experience in internal communications, employee communications, content publishing or a related communications role.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complex information clear, engaging and easy to understand.
- Experience creating, publishing or managing content on SharePoint Online, an intranet or similar digital platform.
- Confidence working with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop communication and content solutions.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute positively to team culture and outcomes.
- Experience creating accessible, user-focused digital content and online experiences.
- A naturally curious mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Additional Information
- Gold AWEI Accreditation 2025 – Recognised for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.
- Accredited Family Friendly Workplace – Supporting work-life balance and inclusivity.
- Hybrid working – Flexible arrangements with two days a week in our modern offices designed for collaboration and wellbeing.
- Additional and inclusive leave options – Flexible public holidays, gender affirmation leave, women’s health leave, and bonus paid time off over the end of year holiday period.
To apply
If you’re passionate about fairness and believe your skills align with this role, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every single criterion.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, cultures, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. If you require any accessibility support during the recruitment process, please reach out to our team at [email protected].
