AFCA is looking for a People Advisory Coordinator to play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our employee experience. As the first point of contact for our People & Culture team, you’ll deliver high‑quality advice, provide day‑to‑day coordination, and ensure seamless execution across all our P&C activities.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will:
- Support and coordinate the employee life cycle, from onboarding through to offboarding.
- Engage with leaders and employees to provide informed guidance, troubleshoot people‑related matters, and ensure actions follow our policies and frameworks.
- Set up and maintain accurate employee records to support strong data integrity.
- Monitor the P&C inbox, responding to enquiries and triaging matters to the appropriate specialist.
- Keep our People & Culture presence fresh by updating the intranet with initiatives, resources, and updates.
- Provide general administrative support across the team, including recruitment coordination and cyclical people processes.
- Lead or contribute to People Operations projects, helping drive meaningful, people‑focused improvements.
- Support the documentation and administration of People Advisory procedures and processes.
- Provide ad hoc support to other P&C teams as directed by the Manager, People Advisory.
Please note that this is initially a 12-month contract role.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
- Professional HR qualifications and current knowledge and understandng of employment regulations
- Demonstrated HR administration experience with the ability to navigate and work confidently across multiple HR systems and platforms
- A passion for delivering exceptional employee experiences
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and successfully meet deadlines
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to communicate with clarity, confidence, and empathy
- A proactive, can‑do attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships across the organisation
