Job Description

Aetos LLC is seeking an experienced SharePoint Application Developer to join our DOJ team as we continue providing support to modification projects, working sites and enhancing SharePoint capabilities. As the SharePoint Application Developer, you will be an individual contributor on a team that performs migrations of enterprise SharePoint applications to SharePoint Online and will be responsible for incorporating new functionalities. You will support the development, administration, and management of various emerging initiatives which address a range of business needs including portals, workflows, business intelligence/reporting and collaboration sites.

Responsibilities:

  • General SharePoint skills
    • Adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions
    • Manage sharing settings for SharePoint at organization level
    • Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions
    • Providing SharePoint support and end-user training
  • Familiarity with Office Suite Outlook
  • Server maintenance
    • Performing maintenance of the SharePoint platform, servers, and intranet
    • Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
    • Knowledge of SharePoint legacy tools like SharePoint designer and InfoPath
  • System Admin skills
    • Information security
    • Networking and network security 
  • SharePoint development skills:
    • Scripting experience(PowerShell, VBScript, JavaScript, jQuery, and JavaScript Frameworks such as React.js, Node.js etc.)
    • Classic ASP experience (experience with ASP.NET 4.0+ or .NET Core) 
    • SQL Scripting, SQL Stored Procedures, SQL Functions(Scalar functions, SQL maintenance), performing database maintenance tasks such as reindexing tables and shrinking log file sizes etc. to enhance application performance 
    • Solid understanding of SharePoint and its other out-of-the-box solutions and be able to combine them skillfully during ongoing projects
    • Proficiency in the following SharePoint platform-specific tools: Visual Studio, and SharePoint Object Model (SOM). Others include Office 365, Web parts, SharePoint apps, User Store, Workflows, Master pages as well as Business Connectivity Services, Page Layouts, Windows Workflow Foundation, SharePoint Ribbon customization
    • Create custom features; create workflows, web parts and site template
    • Experience with database administration and SQL
    • Experience with following programming language in the context of SharePoint development
    • .NET, C#
    • Windows PowerShell
    • Web development: HTML, CSS, SQL
    • Strong UI/UX experience on SharePoint
    • Define consistent UI design framework; create storyboards, wireframes, journeys, low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups, and visual prototypes
    • Experience with testing and debugging customization
    • Maintain, update, and design new features, enhancements and content of existing websites and web applications

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of web design and SharePoint site design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skill with the desire and capability to meeting the needs of clients and key stakeholders

Additional Information

  • This is a hybrid position requiring candidate to be onsite for 3 days.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in US and must be able to pass a security background check.
