Job Description

Role Overview

The Project Management Lead for the Philippines oversees the performance, growth, and technical excellence of the PM and DM teams supporting global projects. This role ensures consistent, high‑quality project delivery, strong commercial performance, and alignment with AECOM’s global PM/DM standards. The PM Lead strengthens the Philippines as a strategic delivery hub and serves as a senior leader in client engagement, project governance, and talent development.

AECOM EC primarily focuses on the concept-to-detailed design phase of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects rather than construction execution. Proven experience leading multidisciplinary infrastructure projects through the design lifecycle, either as a Project Manager or Design Manager, is a critical requirement for success in this role.

While the role primarily supports global multidisciplinary projects, candidates with strong experience in Transportation, Buildings & Places, and Data Centers are highly preferred. These sectors represent key growth areas for the Global Design Center and require mature leadership in project delivery, coordination, and client engagement.

Candidates with relevant experience managing complex international projects in other infrastructure sectors, such as Energy, Water, or related domains, will also be considered. Such experience should demonstrate the ability to lead diverse teams, navigate multi‑regional delivery environments, and apply robust project management and governance practices across varying technical contexts.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and manage PMs and DMs, ensuring consistent application of PMDM processes and best practices.
  • Drive utilization, quality, commercial performance, and operational efficiency across the discipline.
  • Oversee resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
  • Communicate business priorities and lead change initiatives across the team.

Technical Excellence & Governance

  • Provide expert guidance on PMDM methodologies, project controls, and delivery standards.
  • Participate in project audits and independent reviews of high‑risk proposals and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with AECOM’s HSE, QA, QC, and project delivery procedures.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives within the PMDM discipline.

Project Delivery

  • Act as Project Director on major or complex projects.
  • Ensure robust scope definition, change management, risk management, and commercial control.
  • Drive interdisciplinary coordination across PM, DM, engineering, and support teams.

Client Engagement & Business Development

  • Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Lead major bids and proposals, shaping technical and commercial strategies.
  • Identify market opportunities and support growth of the EC portfolio in the region.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree with 19+ years’ experience, or
  • PM‑related tertiary qualification with 20+ years’ experience.
  • Experience within the technical design engineering/consulting industry (Transportation, Buildings & Places, Data Centers, Energy, Water)

Leadership Competencies (Level 4)

  • Builds and inspires high‑performing teams.
  • Communicates vision clearly and consistently.
  • Champions integrity, safety, and ethical behaviour.
  • Drives collaboration and client‑focused delivery.
  • Thinks strategically and encourages innovation.
  • Holds self and others accountable for results.
  • Leads confidently through ambiguity and change.

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 20 hours/year of CPD.
  • Must meet most criteria for Project Director (major project).
  • Participation in P+R and annual talent review processes.
