This role is based on-site four days per week, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for multi-storey car park developments within the aviation sector, from feasibility, planning and design through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the planning, design development, procurement, construction, and delivery of multi-storey car park projects within a live airport environment, ensuring compliance with project objectives, budgets, programmes, and quality requirements.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, contractors, and specialist service providers to ensure effective integration of architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, fire safety, drainage, and building services systems.
Organise and chair design review meetings, technical workshops, and project coordination meetings to monitor progress, resolve design issues, and ensure timely decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage stakeholder engagement and coordination with airport operations, engineering, security, facilities management, commercial teams, statutory authorities, and other relevant stakeholders to maintain operational continuity.
Oversee design development and approval processes in accordance with applicable RIAI/RIBA project stages, ensuring design deliverables, technical submissions, and statutory approvals are achieved in line with programme requirements.
Manage project budgets, cost plans, procurement activities, cash flow forecasts, and financial reporting, implementing effective cost control measures to maintain the approved project budget.
Monitor project schedules, construction progress, contractor performance, and key milestones, implementing corrective actions where necessary to ensure timely delivery.
Establish and maintain project risk registers, change control procedures, action trackers, and issue logs, proactively identifying and mitigating risks associated with design, construction, cost, programme, safety, and airport operations.
Oversee construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contractual obligations, building regulations, health and safety legislation, and applicable aviation standards.
Manage construction interfaces with existing airport infrastructure, including access roads, pedestrian routes, parking operations, utilities, drainage networks, traffic management systems, and adjacent operational facilities.
Implement robust project governance and performance management frameworks, including progress reporting, quality assurance, document control, change management, and regular reporting to senior management.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, operational readiness, snagging, and final handover to ensure the completed multi-storey car park meets operational, safety, accessibility, and maintenance requirements.
Ensure all works are planned and executed in a safe and controlled manner within a live airport environment, minimising disruption to airport operations while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
