Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with site supervision expertise to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will oversee cost management, contract administration, and site supervision for large-scale construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and seamless project delivery while leading a team of quantity surveying professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong leadership acumen to drive project success in a dynamic construction environment.
- Supervise and monitor all site activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for assigned projects
- Administer contracts, including review, negotiation, and enforcement of contractual terms and conditions
- Process and evaluate variation orders, change requests, and claims with thorough documentation and analysis
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost optimization
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare comprehensive progress reports for stakeholders
- Analyze project performance data and provide actionable recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements
- Lead and mentor junior quantity surveying staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high performance standards
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence
- Identify and assess project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to protect project interests
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and organizational policies throughout project execution
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in quantity surveying with demonstrated expertise in cost estimation and budget management
- Minimum 8 years of direct site supervision experience on construction projects
- Advanced proficiency in cost estimation software, project management tools (such as Primavera P6), and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, construction law, and standard forms of contracts
- Proven ability to analyze financial data, prepare forecasts, and manage project budgets effectively
- Experience with large-scale or complex construction projects is highly preferred
