Job Description
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform comprehensive QAQC duties on fit-out projects under general supervision, with progressive independence based on experience and project requirements.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard civil engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet construction specifications and design requirements for fit-out installations, including structural elements, mechanical systems, and attraction-specific components.
- Exercise sound professional judgment in assessing work details, finishes, joinery, themed works, mock-ups, fabrication quality, steelwork, plinths, anchors, embedded items, and all fit-out deliverables against engineering standards.
- Independently conduct comprehensive walk-downs and inspections of installed fit-out commodities and structural elements to ensure conformance with specifications, design standards, and contractual requirements.
- Perform quantity surveys and material tracking for fit-out progress reporting and cost management purposes throughout all project phases.
- Document inspection findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions; prepare detailed quality reports for project stakeholders, design teams, and third-party ride inspectors specific to fit-out work.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and design teams to resolve quality issues and ensure timely remediation of fit-out deficiencies and structural non-conformances.
- Verify testing and certification protocols for structural installations, safety systems, and attraction-specific fit-out components in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Oversee fit-out readiness activities and compile technical documentation required for third-party inspections and regulatory approvals.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to drafters, technicians, surveyors, and junior QAQC personnel on fit-out project requirements and civil engineering standards.
- Monitor fit-out project schedules and quality milestones to ensure adherence to timelines and quality benchmarks throughout all phases of the fit-out installation.
- Maintain detailed quality records, photographic documentation, and as-built records for fit-out project closeout and warranty purposes.
Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum 10 years of progressive QAQC, quality assurance, or quality control experience in construction, fit-out, or attraction installation projects
- Demonstrated expertise in evaluating and applying engineering techniques, procedures, and construction specifications
- Advanced knowledge of applicable building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements for structural installations and attraction-specific systems
- Proven experience conducting comprehensive inspections, walk-downs, and quality assessments of complex construction projects
- Strong proficiency in preparing detailed quality reports, non-conformance documentation, and technical specifications
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, design teams, and third-party inspectors
- Proven experience in quantity surveying, material tracking, and cost management documentation
- Advanced technical writing and documentation skills, including as-built records and photographic documentation
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or mentoring experience with junior QAQC personnel, technicians, or drafting staff
- Proficiency with project scheduling software and quality management systems
- Strong understanding of testing, certification, and regulatory approval protocols
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
- Specialized experience with themed attractions, amusement parks, or hospitality fit-out projects
- Experience with third-party ride inspection and regulatory compliance processes
- Advanced proficiency with CAD software and project management tools
- Experience managing large-scale, multi-phase construction projects
