Job Description

Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, construction, and infrastructure projects. The candidate should have strong experience working with engineering consultancy firms and managing geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and site activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee geotechnical engineering activities across construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Review geotechnical investigations, soil reports, site investigation data, and laboratory test results.
  • Perform and review geotechnical analysis and design for foundations, earthworks, slopes, retaining structures, and excavation works.
  • Provide technical recommendations based on geotechnical conditions and project requirements.
  • Review contractor submissions, method statements, technical reports, and design documents.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor geotechnical and earthwork activities.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Identify and resolve geotechnical issues during design and construction stages.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and engineering standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to the geotechnical engineering team and support project management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering and construction projects.
  • Strong experience in geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and site supervision.
  • Previous experience working with engineering consultancy firms is required.
  • Experience in large-scale construction and infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundations, earthworks, slopes, and retaining structures.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration is required.
  • Saudi/GCC project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
