Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Structural Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this site supervision role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive structural inspections, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards, and maintaining the highest quality assurance standards on construction projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to identifying and documenting structural defects with precision and professionalism.
- Conduct thorough structural inspections of buildings and construction sites, analyzing structural integrity and compliance with applicable codes and regulations
- Supervise on-site activities and monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to structural specifications and design requirements
- Document inspection findings, defects, and non-conformities using detailed reports and photographic evidence
- Analyze structural components and materials for quality, safety, and compliance with UAE building standards and international best practices
- Identify potential structural issues and recommend corrective actions to project management and engineering teams
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve structural concerns and ensure timely remediation
- Maintain organized inspection records, documentation, and databases for project tracking and regulatory compliance
- Perform site measurements and assessments using specialized equipment and tools
- Communicate inspection results and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner
- Stay current with evolving building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards relevant to structural inspection
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 plus years of experience in structural inspection, site supervision, or quality assurance within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of building codes, structural engineering principles, and safety regulations applicable to the UAE
- Proficiency in analyzing structural defects and identifying non-conformities
- Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and inspection equipment
- Physical capability to conduct site inspections and navigate construction environments
- Preferred: Experience working on large-scale construction projects in the Middle East region
