Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector - Mechanical to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of mechanical construction quality and safety. You will conduct comprehensive inspections on building construction projects, verify compliance with specifications and building codes, and collaborate with project teams to maintain excellence throughout the construction lifecycle. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to transparent communication and continuous improvement.
- Conduct thorough and systematic mechanical inspections on building construction projects, including HVAC systems, plumbing installations, electrical mechanical components, and related systems
- Verify that all mechanical work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable building codes and regulations specific to the UAE
- Analyze inspection findings with precision to identify defects, non-conformances, and deviations from project requirements
- Document inspection results accurately and prepare detailed, comprehensive inspection reports with photographic evidence, findings, and actionable recommendations
- Communicate inspection findings clearly and professionally to project managers, contractors, and relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding
- Coordinate proactively with construction teams to ensure timely remediation of identified issues and conduct re-inspections of corrected work
- Maintain organized and comprehensive inspection records, logs, and digital documentation for project files using construction management software
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure mechanical systems are functioning properly and safely before project handover
- Stay current with evolving building codes, mechanical standards, and industry best practices relevant to construction in the UAE
- Collaborate effectively with other inspectors and project teams to ensure consistent quality standards and best practices across all projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute innovative solutions to enhance inspection efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in mechanical inspection, quality assurance, or related roles within building construction projects
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems
