Job Description

Position Overview

The Draftsman (Architecture / Civil / MEP) shall report to the respective Discipline Lead and be responsible for preparation, updating, coordination, and management of engineering and construction drawings for airport development projects. The role involves updating GFC drawings, shop drawings, construction drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings; incorporating site changes and review comments; supporting multidisciplinary coordination; and ensuring that all drafting deliverables are accurate, coordinated, and compliant with project standards, specifications, and applicable aviation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, and update GFC drawings, shop drawings, construction drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for Architecture, Civil, or MEP works.
  • Incorporate site changes, RFIs, technical review comments, and approved design revisions into project drawings.
  • Review drawings for completeness, consistency, constructability, and compliance with project standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, site teams, BIM specialists, consultants, and contractors to resolve drawing-related issues.
  • Support multidisciplinary coordination and ensure consistency across architectural, structural, MEP, utility, and airport systems drawings.
  • Prepare detailed sections, layouts, schedules, and construction details as required.
  • Support quantity take-offs and extraction of drawing-based information when required.
  • Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, transmittals, and document control records.
  • Support preparation and updating of red-line markups and record drawings during construction.
  • Ensure compliance with CAD standards, BIM requirements, naming conventions, and project documentation procedures.
  • Coordinate with survey and site teams for incorporation of field information into drawings.
  • Support timely issuance of drawings and drafting deliverables in accordance with project schedules.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Certification in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, BIM Modelling, or equivalent drafting software shall be preferred.
  • Overall 5-10 years of experience in drafting and preparation of engineering drawings for infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or transportation projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in airport and aviation infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Experience in preparation and updating of GFC drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation.
  • Experience working with PMC Consultants, Engineering Consultants, EPC Contractors, or Client-side project teams.
  • Familiarity with BIM workflows, Common Data Environments (CDE), and document management systems.
