Job Description

Position Overview

The Jr. BIM Design Reviewer shall report to the Sr. BIM Design Reviewer and support BIM-based design reviews, model coordination, design assurance, constructability reviews, clash detection, and multidisciplinary interface management for airport development projects. The role involves reviewing BIM models, drawings, and technical submissions; identifying design, constructability, and coordination issues; verifying compliance with project BIM standards and design requirements; and coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure accurate, coordinated, and buildable project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review BIM models, GFC drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for design accuracy, completeness, constructability, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Verify compliance of BIM deliverables with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project BIM standards, naming conventions, modelling protocols, and LOD requirements.
  • Identify design conflicts, clashes, discrepancies, constructability concerns, and interface issues across disciplines.
  • Review interfaces between Architecture, Structural, MEP, Utilities, Airside Infrastructure, ICT, Security Systems, Fire & Life Safety Systems, BHS, PBB, Airport Systems, and Support Facilities.
  • Perform and support model-based clash detection and coordinate timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Ensure consistency between BIM models, drawings, schedules, specifications, and asset information.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and BIM teams to resolve design and coordination issues.
  • Monitor closure of BIM review comments and design coordination actions.
  • Maintain BIM review comments, clash reports, issue logs, coordination records, and review trackers.
  • Support preparation of federated models, BIM review reports, coordination dashboards, and status updates.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings, technical reviews, and multidisciplinary design workshops.
  • Review model revisions and verify incorporation of agreed comments and design changes.
  • Support constructability reviews, design validation, and digital quality assurance activities.
  • Assist in 4D construction sequencing reviews and 5D model/quantity validation where applicable.
  • Support digital handover requirements, asset information validation, and record model reviews.
  • Ensure timely completion and documentation of BIM review deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil, Structural, MEP, or other relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Overall 5-10 years of experience in BIM, design coordination, BIM review, digital engineering, or project delivery.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in airport and aviation infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Experience in BIM-based multidisciplinary coordination involving terminal buildings, airside works, landside infrastructure, utilities, support facilities, and airport systems.
  • Experience in BIM model review, clash detection, design coordination, constructability reviews, and drawing/model quality assurance.
  • Working knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Common Data Environments (CDE), BIM standards, Levels of Development (LOD), and digital design management processes.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, Civil 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/BIM 360, or equivalent BIM platforms.
