Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our organization in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the pre-contract phase of design projects, ensuring seamless coordination between stakeholders, consultants, and internal teams. You will be responsible for translating client requirements into actionable design strategies while maintaining rigorous attention to detail, budget constraints, and timeline objectives. This position demands a decisive leader who can analyze complex design proposals, mitigate risks, and establish a strong foundation for successful project execution.

  • Lead and manage all pre-contract design phase activities, including scope definition, feasibility studies, and design coordination
  • Analyze design proposals and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and industry standards
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules for the design phase, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors to align design objectives and resolve technical conflicts
  • Manage stakeholder communications and expectations, providing regular updates on design progress and project milestones
  • Prepare and review contract documents, specifications, and tender packages with precision and attention to detail
  • Conduct cost estimation and value engineering analysis to optimize project budgets without compromising quality
  • Organize and facilitate design review meetings, workshops, and presentations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design records, meeting minutes, and decision logs
  • Ensure all pre-contract deliverables meet organizational standards and are completed within established timelines
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in the pre-contract phase
  • Mentor and support junior project team members, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of project management experience
  • Bachelors degree in built environment subject. International Accreditation (MIStructeE/MICE /RIBA /AIA/PMP or equivalent preferred).
  • Proven expertise in managing design projects within the construction, real estate, or engineering sectors
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools and software (Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent)
  • Advanced knowledge of design processes, methodologies, and industry standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex project variables
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification 
  • Experience working in the UAE or Middle East market 
  • Knowledge of local UAE building codes, regulations, and approval processes
