Job Description

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, coordination, planning, and completion of engineering projects.
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and proactively manage client expectations.
• Plan and organize engineering programs, project resources, and staff to meet project objectives and delivery schedules.
• Lead, mentor, and develop structural engineers, BIM modelers, and project teams while ensuring effective workload distribution and technical growth.
• Perform analysis and design of structural systems for various building types and materials in accordance with applicable design codes and standards.
• Manage project design, deliverables, and multidisciplinary coordination while supervising engineers and modelers in the preparation of drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Review structural calculations, design reports, drawings, specifications, and BIM models to ensure technical accuracy, constructability, quality, and compliance with project standards.
• Perform constructability reviews and value engineering assessments to deliver practical, efficient, and economical design solutions.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with applicable Indian and International Codes, client specifications, company standards, and QA/QC procedures.
• Monitor project progress, resource utilization, financial performance, and time spent on engineering tasks to achieve project milestones without schedule overruns.
• Establish and manage engineering workflows, review cycles, and interdisciplinary coordination to ensure efficient project execution.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Civil, Geotechnical, MEP, and Construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, design workshops, and coordination meetings.
• Support Business Development activities through proposal preparation, technical reviews, effort estimation, bid documentation, tender submissions, and client presentations.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing engineering best practices, lessons learned, and quality enhancement initiatives.

 

Qualifications

 

• 12–15 years of relevant experience in structural engineering consultancy with projects similar in function, size, and complexity.
• Project experience in commercial, residential, retail, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, aviation, and data centre sectors will be an advantage.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with M.Tech. in Structural Engineering (Mandatory).
• Strong technical proficiency in RCC, PT, and structural steel analysis, design, and detailing.
• Thorough knowledge of Indian Codes is mandatory. Familiarity with US Codes, British Standards, and Eurocodes will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other industry-standard engineering software.
• Experience in BIM workflows, model review, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Knowledge of programming, automation, macros, Excel design tools, and computational platforms such as Dynamo, Python, Rhino, and Grasshopper will be an added advantage.
• Experience in supporting construction activities, including RFIs, Tender Queries, Pre-Bid Queries, Technical Submittals, and Design Clarifications.
• Experience in engineering planning, resource management, project scheduling, QA/QC processes, and document control.
• Commercial awareness with experience in proposal preparation, bid reviews, and engineering effort estimation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, stakeholder management, client management, people management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workloads, and consistently deliver high-quality engineering solutions within project schedules.
