Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a dynamic and highly technical Transportation design team in Southern Florida. This is an engineering position for an experienced Project/Design Manager with an emphasis on Highway/Roadway design who will be responsible for the technical design and management of roadway design projects in South Florida. This is a great opportunity to produce/manage technical designs and assist in growing the engineering transportation team in our Coral Gables and Ft. Lauderdale offices. The successful candidate will be expected to help grow the roadway design practice by:
- Serve as Project Manager for key roadway design project pursuits.
- Managing budgets, schedules, client engagement, managing subcontractors, and ensuring QA/QC of all deliverables.
- Develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.
- Provide technical expertise by formulating and developing advanced design concepts, techniques, and standards.
- Assuring effective utilization of engineering personnel and technical quality.
- General business development and marketing focus, while ensuring client care and feedback to maintain high-quality performance.
- Mentor and lead a team of Transportation professionals.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- BS/BA Civil Engineering Degree or related field.
- 10 years of transportation engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred:
- 15 years of experience in transportation/highway engineering and management of design projects
- Experience with the design and management of limited-access facilities.
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
- Experience in engineering leadership roles and project management.
- FDOT Design and Design Build experience
- Accomplished track record in Transportation/Roadway design projects and client relationships with FDOT Districts 4 & 6.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK, 3D corridor modeling.
- Experienced as a seller/doer for transportation in the South Florida market.
