How you'll make a difference

This is a newly created position to support our mining sector across Australia, particularly in WA. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Perth.

• You will be a key leader in our Pursuits team dedicated to the Mining Sector, where you will actively apply your winning work expertise to drive and deliver efficient, high-quality proposals that exceed our clients' needs and distinguish AECOM across the market.
• With a thirst for knowledge, you will develop and leverage a deep understanding of the mining market to collaborate closely with stakeholders to craft differentiated win strategies and value propositions. You will challenge assumptions, encourage divergent thinking and foster a client-centric approach.
• This is a hands-on role. Applying exceptional time management, project planning and stakeholder engagement, you will coordinate multiple pursuits simultaneously across the full lifecycle, from early positioning and capture planning through reviews, approvals, proposal development, interviews, submission and post-pursuit analysis.
• Make the complex simple. You will bring the strategic and creative ability to challenge, uplift and reshape text-heavy content so it is clear and compelling.
• Ensure all submissions reflect high editorial quality, client focus and consistent alignment with AECOM brand guidelines and best-practice pursuit standards, while coaching teams through interview and Q&A preparation.
• Build trusted relationships and strengthen pursuit capability across AECOM’s mining business and broader ANZ organisation, bringing together the right expertise and evidence, coaching contributors and sharing lessons learned to continually improve pursuit performance.
• You will play an integral role in shaping and realising AECOMs ANZ Pursuit Excellence Framework.

The qualities that help you thrive

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.

• 8 years + experience in bid or proposal management roles (e.g., Pursuit Partner, Bid & Proposal Partner, Tender Specialist, Proposal Specialist), ideally within a professional services or mining-related environment.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and client communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple submissions and deadlines with strong project management capability.
• Proficient with standard bid tools such as capture plans and compliance matrices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Strong facilitation and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to bring together diverse perspectives, challenge assumptions, and develop differentiated pursuit strategies.
• Ability to translate dense written content into clear, visually engaging graphics is a valuable bonus, helping bring technical mining narratives to life for a broader audience.
