Job Description

**Senior Engineer (FLS) - Responsibilities**

  • Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Identifies discrepancies in results and implements corrective actions.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to entry level engineers on technical concepts and best practices.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
  • Prepares comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and design specifications for engineering projects.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews and validates engineering solutions against established standards and requirements.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and implements enhancements to engineering workflows.
  • Communicates technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

Qualifications

**Senior Engineer (FLS) - Qualifications**

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum 10-15 years of professional engineering experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in engineering design, analysis, and problem-solving methodologies
  • Proficiency in technical documentation and report writing
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and engineering standards
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting budget and schedule constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or entry-level professionals
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and continuous enhancement initiatives
  • Background in project management or technical leadership roles
  • Experience with engineering software tools and design platforms
  • Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulatory requirements
  • Track record of identifying and implementing workflow improvements
