Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Site Architect to join our Construction Supervision team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and architectural oversight on dynamic construction projects, ensuring that all architectural works are executed in accordance with approved designs, contract documents, and applicable authority requirements. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to resolve site challenges, maintain quality standards, and drive successful project delivery from construction through to handover.
- Supervise and verify all architectural works on construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable building codes
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, method statements, and Requests for Information (RFIs) with a focus on design intent and quality standards
- Conduct regular and thorough site inspections to assess workmanship, material quality, finishes, façade interfaces, waterproofing, roofing, and architectural installations
- Collaborate with structural, MEP, façade, and specialist contractors to coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and resolve complex architectural and technical issues
- Monitor contractor performance against quality objectives, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project standards
- Review and process non-conformance reports, site observations, technical queries, and defects with transparency and efficiency
- Witness and approve inspections, testing, and mock-up approvals for architectural systems and finishes
- Verify completed architectural works for interim payment applications and provide technical recommendations to the Resident Engineer
- Ensure all work complies with local authority regulations, fire and life safety requirements, accessibility standards, sustainability requirements, and international building codes
- Lead snagging, practical completion, and handover inspections, ensuring all architectural elements meet required standards
- Maintain comprehensive and organized project documentation, inspection records, technical reports, and photographic records throughout the project lifecycle
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing clear technical guidance and fostering a collaborative project environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from a recognized university
- Minimum 5–8 years of professional experience in construction supervision and architectural site oversight
- Proven experience supervising high-rise or complex construction projects
- Strong knowledge of architectural specifications, building codes, and international standards
- Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools
- Solid understanding of fire and life safety requirements, accessibility standards, and sustainability principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach
- Demonstrated expertise in shop drawing review, submittal management, and RFI processing
- Knowledge of waterproofing, roofing, façade systems, and architectural finishes
- Familiarity with UAE building codes and local authority requirements (preferred)
- Proficiency in site documentation, inspection protocols, and quality assurance procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Commitment to safety, quality, and transparent communication in all project activities
