Job Description

We're looking for a talented and detail-oriented Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in delivering innovative environmental solutions that make a real difference. You'll work collaboratively with experienced professionals to support environmental projects, contribute to technical excellence, and help drive our organization's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.   • Support environmental projects in contaminated sediments, soil and groundwater remediation, environmental compliance, and Environmental Social and Governance (ESG)/Sustainability initiatives
  • Conduct technical analysis and develop deliverables for remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, and remedial action under the guidance of senior staff
  • Plan and direct field activities for data collection, including soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air sampling
  • Perform environmental site assessments, site investigation, characterization, and environmental remediation activities
  • Conduct fate and transport modeling and implement innovative sampling approaches
  • Manage and organize field data collection, data management, and documentation with precision and accuracy
  • Operate and maintain environmental monitoring and remediation equipment and systems
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, engineering consultants, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and environmental documentation
  • Coordinate with regional and national experts, participate in technical practice groups, and pursue continuous professional development
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols throughout all project activities
  • Assist in directing subcontractors and provide basic supervisory oversight as needed

Qualifications

**Minimum Requirements**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering field
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team environments
  • Commitment to safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screening

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • HAZWOPER 40-Hour Training certification
  • Prior hands-on experience in environmental field data collection, including drilling, soil logging, well installation, and sampling collection
  • Experience with remediation system operations, maintenance, and monitoring
  • Knowledge of environmental sampling practices and methodologies
  • Coursework or professional experience in waste management, environmental site assessments, and environmental remediation
  • Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
  • Experience with fate and transport modeling software and tools
  • Familiarity with Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainability initiatives
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of regional environmental regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the Middle East
  • Experience working in diverse environmental conditions and challenging field settings
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
