Job Description

AECOM is seeking to hire a Bridge & Structures CAD Technician with a strong background in civil infrastructure projects, particularly in the design and delivery of bridges and structural works. As part of our design and engineering team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to landmark projects for both public and private sector clients, supporting innovative engineering solutions within a truly international environment.

Our teams have extensive experience delivering feasibility studies, detailed design, and project execution services for major infrastructure programs in the United States, Australia, Canada, and other international markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Comply with and apply project-specific CAD standards and drafting procedures.
  • Produce 2D and 3D design drawings from sketches, mark-ups, engineering notes, and design specifications.
  • Use collaborative engineering platforms such as ProjectWise and BIM 360.
  • Perform self-check reviews of drawings to ensure quality and compliance with project QA/QC procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed teams while working independently and responsibly.
  • Deliver assigned tasks with limited supervision and a high degree of autonomy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Technician/Drafter working on bridge and structural projects.
  • Certified technical education in Drafting Technology, Technical Institute studies, Vocational Training, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D; experience with MicroStation CAD will be considered an asset.
  • Experience working within collaborative environments using Bentley ProjectWise and/or Autodesk Revit.
  • Intermediate level of English.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform effectively under demanding project deadlines.
  • Previous experience on projects in the United States, Canada, or Australia would be highly valued.
