Job Description
Within Domestic Transportation business area, we are looking to hire a highly skilled and motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a solid background to join an amazing team located in Madrid.
If you are passionate about geotechnical engineering and eager to work on high-profile international and local projects, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
You will be an integral part of our Ground Engineering team, working on a variety of exciting projects and collaborating with experts from around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and organize geotechnical work for team members and guide them through complex tasks.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, if needed.
- Promote geotechnical investigations and assessments for diverse projects, including geotechnical characterization and analysis.
- Develop geotechnical designs (including calculations and detailed drawings) for excavations, retaining structures, earthworks, deep and shallow foundations, stability, and settlement analysis.
- Experience in soil improvement and seismic design.
- Experience in off shore geotechnical design.
- Experience in tender process from the geotechnical perspective.
- Collaborate with teams across different geographies to deliver outstanding results.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Mining Engineering.
- Other Geotechnical Master are highly appreciated.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of Spanish and English (reading, writing, and speaking). Other languages added are highly valued.
- Advanced user of geotechnical software such as PLAXIS 2D/3D, ROCSCIENCE software or GEO5.
