Job Description
AECOM is seeking a talented and experienced Program Management Director. This position could be located at one of the following AECOM locations: Arlington, VA, Baltimore, MD, Germantown, MD, Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manages large to very large size programs which have high levels of execution complexity and significant strategic value to the firm
- Provide the organization with strong technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery globally
- Advocate for ethical and safe working practices
- Drive innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation
- Work with Global Business Lines, Regional leadership, and Market Sector Leaders to identify new business opportunities and develop solutions to address them
- Identify areas of high risk and pro-actively take action to positively impact program outcomes.
- Contribute to the global learning and people development strategy for program management, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans
- Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise, proactively addressing emerging challenges and opportunities
- Propose skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the future.
- Actively leads and supports the attraction and retention of talent within program management.
- Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreement
Qualifications
Minimum:
- BA/BS +12 years of related infrastructure program/project-related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred:
- Large infrastructure program or project management experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer in either Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia
- Experienced in defining project design requirements, managing schedules, and achieving organizational financial objectives
- Experience in leading teams of project managers, contractors, and subcontractor
